pityriasis rosea

A mild rash that causes scaly, rose-colored, inflamed skin lesions that are attached at the edges and loose in the center. Pityriasis rosea is most common in young adults and usually occurs in the spring or fall. The rash lasts from three to 12 weeks and is thought to be caused by a virus.
