pulmonary valve

A half-moon shaped valve between the right ventricle (one of the two lower chambers of the heart) and the pulmonary artery (the artery carrying blood from the right ventricle of the heart to the lungs). The pulmonary valve stops blood from flowing from the artery back into the heart.
